What a month March was! Our youth rocked the 30 Hour Famine for World Vision, and, with your help, are feeding two children for almost a whole year. Thank you so much for your support! During the event, we built towers and shelters out of cardboard, experienced real hunger pangs, fed many of our hungry neighbors in Clyde and Abilene, played games that simulated how other cultures live, drank a lot of juice, and grew closer to God and one another. We have set a date for our next 30 Hour Famine that will take place November 22-23, 2019, and hope to get more of our congregation involved in the next event, so mark your calendars now!

On Wednesday, March 21st, Love and Care Ministries almost had to cancel the monthly Clyde Street Feed due to the lack of a driver from Abilene. Monty stepped in and drove our bus full of our high school youth and meals for our community. What an example to set. When your heart is willing, God will provide. When an obstacle arises, conquer it!

April looks to be another wonderful month full of opportunities to serve our neighbors and grow in relationship with God. The youth are looking forward to serving at The Haven doing some yard work and clean-up, as well as continuing with the monthly Street Feed. They will also get to spend more time enjoying the GaGa Ball pit, and participate in prayer stations and worship.

Our group is growing, and these kids come to youth on Wednesdays hungry! If you would like to provide a meal, please sign up. There is a sign-up on the Facebook page, and on the bulletin board by the nursery. If you would like to get involved with the youth group in any capacity, your input and assistance would be so appreciated! Email, or call Erin at (210) 383-7700 for information on how to get involved.
